Place a child in safe hands
The Foster Parents Association (FPA) is a Bermuda registered charity (No. 620) whose purpose is to empower foster care providers to give the best possible service to the foster children of Bermuda. The FPA provides supplemental financial support for those situations outside the normal scope of fostering. In addition, the FPA offers scholarship opportunities for higher education to foster children and organizes various community events to strengthen the family bonds between foster care providers and their children.
We know that raising a foster child is a labour of love and not one that doesn't come with some unexpected, and often untimely expenses. Beyond normal every days expenses, we know that foster parents are often confronted with other expenses such as overseas educational trips and costly medical equipment and supplies. We recognize each situation is unique and we aim to assist and supplement your financial outlay whenever possible in a timely manner.
All foster parents are eligible to request funds from the FPA for these extraordinary expenses. All requests for FPA financial assistance should be formally directed to your DCFS social worker.
Telehe FPA's activities are 100% funded by the generosity of public and corporate support. Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time at our various fund raisers, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
